DSL. Japan was established as a Joint Venture company between Degussa Japan Co., Ltd. and Shionogi & CO., Ltd in October 2003.　We produce the precipitated Silica, Gel type silica and Matting Agent.

 Characteristics

For more than 50 years, in fact since 1958, DSL. Japan has been producing synthetic Silica (SiO2). Our silica produced by precipitation: starting with reaction of sodium silicate silica and sulfuric acid, the resulting precipitate is filtered, washed, dried and milled. It is by altering the precipitated process and post process that we can create various unique properties to meet our customer’s specific requirement.
Applications for our silica products can be found in the most diverse products and industries and their physical-chemical properties make them absolute safe.　Our track record and experience helps us to deliver the right solution to meet each customer’s specific requirement.

Applications 

Beer stabilizer, optical density improver for inkjet paper, carrier for various liquid, thicker for liquid and pate, free flow agent for pharmaceutical, food and feed, filler for rubber, matting agent, etc.
