The Catalyst business line develops and manufactures a broad range of catalysts for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, fine and bulk chemicals as well as components for polymerization catalysts in close cooperation with our customers.

The business unit Health & Nutrition is also a leading company in products, technologies and services for the extraction of gold, for chemical and pharmaceutical intermediates and for surface treatment of metals.

Excusive Synthesis provides cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) facilities and in-depth expertise at all stages of new product development in Europe and China. Today, Exclusive Synthesis is preferred supplier of customs and contract manufacturing services to pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and specialty chemicals companies around the world. Exclusive Synthesis is a world wide leader in amino acids, keto-acids and derivatives. Amino acids are provided with high standard quality and play a central role in life as building blocks of structural proteins and functional peptides. The applications of Amino Acids are infusion solutions, synthetic chemical precursors, nutrition, flavors, cosmetics, and so on.

Evonik supplies broad types of catalyst products, such as Precious Metal Powder Catalyst, Activated Base Metal Catalyst, Continuous Process Catalyst and Olefin Polymerization Catalyst to meet the requirements for chemical, pharmaceutical, agrochemical and electronic materials applications.
Our manufacturing sites for Precious Metal Powder Catalyst located in Tsukuba (Japan), U.S.A, Brazil and Germany are to deliver the same quality to customers all over the world.
Technical center stationed in Tsukuba is committed to bring the world-class catalyst expertise and to provide customers with tailor-made catalyst solutions.  The technical service ensures the supports in various scenes at customers' site- from launch of a new catalyst reaction process to a process improvement plan.

Biotechnology & Methionine

Evonik produces feed additives at six sites in five countries and is the only company in the world to produce and market all four of the important amino acids for modern animal nutrition – DL-Methionine, Biolys® (L-Lysine), L-Threonine and L-Tryptophan. Mepron®, a rumenprotected DL-Methionine rounds off the company’s product
range as part of its “one source” strategy.
